Did you know that the Library takes book suggestions? If you have a Glen Ellyn library card, we'd love to know if we're missing something that you'd like to read.
From the Library's catalog, click on "Contact Us/Purchase Request" in the upper right-hand corner.
You can also call the Adult Services reference desk at 630-469-0879 or stop in to see us!
We are always willing to consider requests, but do keep in mind that there are some guidelines we need to follow:
- In most cases, we do not purchase self-published books, because they are not reviewed in established review sources.
- We also have pre-approved book wholesalers that we use, so generally we cannot order something that is only available through someone's web site or mail-order, for example.
- One last thing to note, books tend to go out of print rapidly. If you're looking for something that was published one year ago or more, we will usually try to ILL (InterLibrary Loan) it for you instead of purchasing it.
